Programme Officer – Tanzania

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Wetlands International Eastern Africa is seeking an experienced Programme Officer – Tanzania to support the effective planning, coordination, and implementation of country programmes and projects. The successful candidate will support project teams and partners in delivering activities on time and to the required quality standards, maintain programme documentation and reporting, contribute to stakeholder engagement and coordination, monitor implementation progress, and support learning, knowledge management and programme development.

Requirements:

• A master’s degree in environmental science, natural resource management, biodiversity conservation, water resources management, ecology, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional experience programme/ project implementation, environmental conservation, natural resources management, landscape management, or related fields
• Demonstrated experience in implementing donor-funded environmental or natural resource management programs or community development programs
• Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder projects, project planning, budgeting, monitoring, and reporting.
• Experience working with government institutions and community organisations.
• Experience working in Tanzania and/or the wider Eastern Africa region.
• Experience working with an international NGO is desirable.
• Strong skills in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, report writing, budget monitoring, communication, and problem-solving.
